Detailed Timeline

April 18, 2011-I submitted my application online.

April, 28-Received packet with finger-print cards and other forms to be filled out.

May 12-Paperwork received

May 25-Notarized letter received.  I have one student loan which I can't defer and that my mom has agreed to make payments on while I'm gone (if I go).  I had to have a notarized letter from her sent to PC saying that she would make the payments for me.

May 31-Interview via web-cam

June 8-Emailed Nomination letter!!! I've been nominated for Primary Education Teacher Training in Central/South America leaving February, 2012! Yay! for Spanish speaking! However, where your nominated for isn't necessarily where you actually go, so I'm trying (with little success) to not get too attached to this assignment, if I'm invited to be a volunteer.

June 10-Toolkit updated. Legally cleared.

June 15-Email asking me to confirm my address so they can mail the medical kit.

June 15-Toolkit updated. Medical package mailed.

June 17-Medical package arrived.

June 18-Head to the International Clinic at SNUH. There for 5 hours.  Met another woman applying for PC! Have to go back in 2 weeks to pick up/go over results.

June 20-Dentist.

June 25-Local doctor for TB blood test.  Results in 3-4 days.

June 27-Dentist round 2. Cavities filled. Paperwork done.

June 29-picked up TB test results.  Don't have TB. Unsurprised, but yay! anyway

July 2-SNUH to pick up blood test results and finish paperwork with the doctor.

July 5-mailed (hopefully) complete medical kit via DHL

July 7-tool kit updated.  PC received my medical kit July 6. Dental clearance.

July 27-received an email from a pre-service nurse who had a question for me and let me know that my medical info was submitted and complete and that my mental health history would be reviewed by an adviser that day.

July 28-Toolkit updated, medical review has begun

July 28-Email from my pre-service nurse telling me I need to have a mental health evaluation.  I called around to see how much it would be to have that done in Korea.  Way too expensive.  Decide to wait until I get home on August 13.

August 18-Mental Health Evaluation complete.  Fax in results.

August 24-Medical Clearance!!!! Happy dance!

August 30-Contact from placement. Updated resume requested and sent.

October 12- Emailed Placement Assistant with another updated resume and requested status update. PO responds and schedules final interview.

October 19-Final Interview!

October 21-Invitation Arrived!
